HaloCRM Guides
Using Your Halo Calendar
Every Halo instance is equipped with calendar and appointment functionality by default. However, it is possible to integrate your Exchange/Outlook calendar, or Google calendars with the Halo calendars if you'd prefer.
This guide only talks about the Halo calendar. To find out about the calendar integrations, please see the relevant guides.
First, ensure the calendars module is enabled. You can do this by heading to the Administration Console > Workspace > Calendars and Appointments.
If it is not already coloured, hover over it until the '+' appears, then press to enable.
To access the calendar, head to the calendar icon on the left-hand side menu:
Here, you can see an overview of appointments.
You can set this to be your own calendar only, or add your colleagues calendars to the page, too.
To add/remove agents to your calendar, simply click on their name.
When the module is enabled, appointments can be made from tickets. If the 'make appointment' action is present on your workflow, then you can use this to make appointments.
This is load up the above screen with pre-populated information about the meeting (the agent, the attendees, and gives you the ability to select the type of appointment, the time of the appointment and whether you'd like to inform the appropriate people of the meeting.
If you are unsure of your availability for the meeting, you can make use of the 'scheduler' button at the top of the pop-up which specifies times that are already booked up.
To add new types of appointment, head to the calendar settings (Administration Console > Workspace > Calendars and Appointments) and then to 'Appointment Types'. Here you can add/modify/delete types of appointments and the colour in which they show on the calendar.
This way, you can avoid any calendar clashes!
When there are upcoming appointments, they will show in the clipboard in the top-right on your Halo.
Finally, head to the general settings for the calendars module (Administration Console > Workspaces > Calendars and Appointments). Here you can determine appointment lengths, how they affect SLAs, how invites are sent out to contacts and what the invite will say and how they are actioned.
