Creating Appointments In Halo
First, check with your Halo administrator if the calendar functionality is enabled - if it is, you will see the calendar module show on the left-hand side of your HaloCRM instance:
Next, go to the ticket you'd like to create an appointment from.
There should already be an action button called 'make appointment' available to you, but if there isn't -please contact your HaloCRM administrator.
Click on 'Make Appointment' and you will see a pop-up on your screen.
Here, you can set the appointment name, start and end time, if it is recurring or not, if other people other than yourself and the customer will be attending and the appointment type.
If you are using a shared calendar on outlook (for example) and have the integration enabled, you can add the email address of the shared mailbox to 'other attendees' and this will send it to the specified calendar.
Finally, if you'd be alerted of the meeting, set your status for the time of the meeting or add notes to the meeting, you can do so in the following boxes:
Press 'save' and the meeting will show in the Halo calendar.
If you have enabled any calendar integrations, this will sync over to your integrated calendar too.
Reminders will also pop-up on your integrated calendar if they are set-up to do so in that application.
When the meeting is upcoming that day, it will appear in your 'To-Do' list.
This is found in the top-right hand side of the screen, when clicking on the clipboard icon.
You can use the 'add' button to add new appointments on the fly, too.
The way to do this is the same as above, except having a related ticket is optional.
Any appointments that were originally in your calendar integration will also sync over to HaloCRM, and show up in the 'To-Do' list.
(ADMINS: If the 'make appointment' button does not show, check to see whether it exists by going to Configuration > Processes > Forms > Actions.
If it does not exist, you will need to create an action with the system use of 'create appointment/task'.
If it does exist, make sure it is added to the applicable workflow.)
